CAPTAIN ANDY WOODALL IS HONORED BY THE
CAPTAIN PATRICK J. BROWN MEMORIAL FOUNDATION
(below Carolyn Brown presents to Capt. Andy Woodall a plaque from the
Foundation)
Long time friend of our Foundation, Capt. John
"Andy" Woodall was honored at a dinner held in Raleigh, NC on Saturday
January 19th, 2008.
Andy has been our ally in Raleigh since our
inception.
He just retired after 28+ years as a member of
Raleigh's Bravest.
We honored him with a plaque and a "343" helmet.
Andy has done extensive work with the
NYC Fire Department since 9-11.
He was instrumental in securing four Ford Vans to
the
Family Transport Foundation, of which they are
all in use today.
He also was the driving force behind the North
Carolina Fallen Firefighter's Memorial located in the City of Raleigh.

We were glad we were there to present him with
the plaque as well as be a part of his retirement dinner.
His son, John brought his band - "DEJA VU"- up
from Mountain City, Tennessee to provide the entertainment. And of
course Andy himself contributed with a few songs as "Elvis".
Here are some pictures from that day.
Andy's daughter, Amy and son, Joshua pose near
the band.
John Woodall leads the band, "Deja Vu" in song.
Some other awards bestowed upon Andy.
The next day son, John and friends gather at the
Memorial.

friend Robin,
John and Dad, and friend, Shelly.
It was a frigid weekend in Raleigh, but it a warm
sendoff for one of the most dedicated men of the Raleigh Fire
Department.
Good Luck, Andy in your retirement.
